The Bio Mechanics of Guitar

A Science Based Approach
to Guitar Practice

Why aren’t you getting better?

  • Why aren’t you improving, even though you practice?
  • You’re busy, so how can you really improve if you only have 30 min per day?
  • How do you know you’re practicing the right thing?
  • I’ve taken lessons before but they didn’t help, why is this different?

A passion for improvement

It doesn’t matter how much time you spend “trying” to play well.

That won’t get you to sound like your favorite player.

But there is something that will…better technique.

It’s like the engine in a car, without it, you’re not going anywhere. And if you’ve built in bad habits over the years it’s like having a leaky, rusty engine.

The only way to reach your potential as a guitarist is to optimize your technique, trim the fat and become an efficient, fluid machine.

Understanding the biomechanics of guitar technique is like learning how to fix an engine. If you know what to look for you can easily find the problem.

That means any time you have a technical problem, you don’t have to wonder, “Why?” You’ll have the tools to diagnose and solve it yourself.

Why can’t you play that fast legato lick, or change chords like a jazz guitarist, or fingerpick like Tommy Emmanuel?

If you understand how your hands work, you’ll be able to solve any problem you face on the instrument.

And that’s how you improve!
